Shipping Policy

 

At Pure Dark, we strive to provide our customers with shipping and packaging that matches the care we take with our chocolate.    Each order includes cold packs and a package liner to protect temperature sensitive products during the shipping process year round.  To ensure quality, orders will be shipped Fed Ex Standard Overnight Monday-Thursday.   We cannot guarantee delivery Saturday-Monday. 

 

At this time, we currently do not ship to other countries, P.O. Boxes or APO/FPO addresses.  We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

 

Shipment Dates:

Orders received after 2:30 PM CT, may be processed the next business day. 

Some orders may take up to 2 business days to process depending on the items ordered.

If for some reason your items are backordered, you will be contacted via email or telephone. 

 

Damage and returns: 

No return of food is accepted, under any circumstances.

Pure Dark cannot be held responsible for damage if you (or the recipient of a gift) are not present at time of delivery and the damage occurs as a result of the delay in claiming the package.

Also, Pure Dark cannot be responsible for heat damage. We highly recommend shipping to an address where someone will be able to receive the package when delivered.

Chocolate left outside your home all day may be damaged by weather that is too hot, cold, rainy or humid.

Once a delivery attempt has been made, it is the responsibility of a customer to make sure the package is accepted.  Pure Dark is not responsible for lost, stolen, or otherwise missing packages.   All merchandise is checked and leaves the warehouse in good condition.  It then becomes the buyer’s responsibility to claim for damages with the delivering carrier.

 

If you need to ship to multiple addresses, you will need to submit a separate order for each location. 

 

Chocolate of the month:

Chocolate of the Month orders need to be placed as separate orders and cannot be combined with other items.

Pure Dark reserves the right to substitute product on Chocolate of the Month subscriptions due to the unavailability of an item, seasonal or otherwise.
